The concept of being Alive and Living

Have you seen the cartoon "soul"? The cartoon is a good example of showing what alive means and what living means. Although, both words look similar, the definition are completely different. In the cartoon "soul"  one can see how the main character was not living at all, he kept on believing his passion for playing the piano and making it big was his only purpose in life but he was wrong.

On this note before going further I would like to define in my terminology what I believe is the meaning of being alive and living. My concept of being alive means to find yourself on this earth breathing, while living is when you are actually alive, i mean living each day and appreciating what this world has to offer : from listening to the birds chirp, to being able to smell the freshness of the trees and the grass, to being able to eat a meal and appreciating its taste or drink wine and appreciating it taste, to spending times with loved ones etc.

Those who take each day as just another day to wake up and do normal routine or do not have any interest or passion for anything or perhaps they do not see anyone nor anything special, are likely to take things for granted, such people could be seen as those who are just living for the sake of just being alive. Unfortunately for this type of people they failed to appreciate the beauty of life. Sometimes in life one has to explore various options, for example, in Nigeria we have massive amount of unemployed youths who do not know where to start from and what to do next, majority are university graduates. In this kind of situation where you are trying hard to do something and it is not working, try out alternatives, for example a graduate who has been trying hard to get a job, why not try other options like if you are fortunate to get an investor who can invest in you for a business or lend you money for business or learning a trade and getting knowledge from it and starting up your own trade. The result of expecting something and keep on getting disappointment can lead to depression. Most depressed people are Lost souls wandering this earth lifelessly. Unfortunately some of these depressed people are not shown love, not cared for, hence, suicide is considered as a solution. In some cases, depressed people are even taken advantage of by selfish people. https://bit.ly/3FmChmD

Life is hard and nothing comes easy sometimes what we go through in life actually break us into pieces, the struggles are real but not withstanding we have to take time to appreciate the little things we have, or experience everyday, that way we will be able to live because a day passed can never be retrieved back. So why not appreciate and enjoy life, do not just be alive enjoy life; eat, play, laugh, cry, pray, in one word  "Live" and be grateful for every day that comes because once we are gone,  we cannot come back to re-live our lives again. Live every moment but with caution.

Every person living is alive but not every person who is alive is Living. Thanks.
